Langkawi 2006

Panorama Langkawi Cable Car covers a total distance of only 2.2 km linking the Base Station at the foothill of Matcinchang to the overruling height of the Top Station which gives a commanding views of Langkawi from the western sea coast. With stunning and magnificent vistas, Mount Matcinchang and the Austrian cable cars is a big attraction. From the very top of Mount Matcinchang, visitors will get a 360-degree-view of the whole island groups, the Datai peninsula, Andaman Sea and the southern Thai islands of Ko Tarutao and soutern Thai province Satun coastline.

The 15 minutes journey up to the mountain is definetely not for the weak-hearted one but the scenery below that show off the 4,167 ha of virgin jungle of the Matcinchang Mountain Forest Reserve and Telaga Tujuh/Seven Wells is a feast for the eyes.
At the six-seaters gondolas edges higher and higher up the steep mountain slope, the trees in the valleys and ravines below seem much taller than those on the walls of the mountain, on which short and sturdy trees grow. This is because the mountain walls have less top soil and retain less moisture compared to the lush ravines and valleys. There are viewing platform, a restaurant and a suspension bridge over the valley.
The most interesting and rare feature of this cable car is the angle station - this means from middle station, the gondolas make a 45-degrees turn to reach the top where there are more viewing platforms and walkways. Visitors are fiven the option of getting down at both stations to walk about and enjoy the scenery. All in, 35 gondolas are used to ferry visitors to the mountain and in an hour, some 700 people can be taken to the top.

Langkawi Boutique Resort is ideally located about 15 minutes drive from the Langkawi International Airport and approximately 30 minutes drive from Kuah Town. The beautiful Pantai Cenang is just across the road from our Club House while the Langkawi Underwater World is a mere 5 minutes walk away.

"PELUANG YANG BESAR ITU DATANG SECARA TIBA-TIBA.DATANG TIDAK MENENTU MASA..DATANG DISAAT KITA KESEMPITAN ATAU KESUSAHAN. NILAILAH PELUANG ITU DENGAN SECARA BIJAKSANA. REBUTLAH PELUANG YANG BESAR ITU, KERANA PELUANG YANG BESAR ITU BOLEH BERLALU DENGAN TIBA-TIBA. JANGAN JADIKAN SERIBU ALASAN UNTUK TIDAK MEREBUT PELUANG YANG BESAR ITU!” - PROF.DR HAMKA

RENUNGAN 03
